Research and psychedelia, two concepts that perfectly blend with the collection presented at the last edition of the Show by the new brand Maison About. Entirely Made in Italy, the pieces presented mix styles and graphic signs making kaleidoscopic images and famous American journalists the protagonists of the latest t-shirt created.

Una piccola sfilata di cappelli è quello che mancava nella nostra sezione accessori, ormai troppo dediti alle scarpe, abbiamo pensato di scegliere alcune delle immagini che mettono in evidenza il copricapo in tutte le sue varianti. Che siano in lana o feltro poco importa, la trasformazione in atto porta anche una grande sciarpa a mutare per l’occasione fino a svelare un dolce sorriso.

WHITE Hunting . When hats are on the catwalk
Our section dedicated to accessories just needed a brief parade of hats, as lately we have been focussing too much on shoes, then we thought to select some images to highlight hat in all its variants. It doesn’t mater if they are made of wool or felt, the change in progress sees a scarf changing on the occasion, revealing a sweet smile.

Ludovica Amati è un marchio che a mio avviso avrà molto da dire in futuro, non solo per la forte personalità che vibra nelle collezioni presentate al salone, specchio del carattere della stilista, ma anche per la cortesia della designer e del suo team che riflette una sensibilità spesso indice di grande stabilità e spessore. Un mondo della moda in cui i trend lasciano spazio alle sensazioni del creativo che spesso è un anticipatore di stili e caratteri, così come l’anima di WHITE lo propone, nel mondo di Ludovica Amati vi è la passione di una creatività che si esprime attraverso capi di design dove le emozioni viaggiano sotto pelle restando fedeli alla propria natura.

In my opinion, in the future the brand Ludovica Amati will have much to say, and not only for the strong personality resonating in the collections presented at the show, mirror of the designer’s character, but also for the kindness of the designer and of her team, reflecting a sensibility which often reveals great steadiness and depth. A fashion universe where trends make room to the feelings of creation, which often disclose styles and characters, just like the WHITE soul. Ludovica Amati’s world features the passion for creativity expressed through design pieces where emotions run under the skin, sticking with their nature.

Il mix di stili ormai è una costante a livello internazionale, alcuni stilisti hanno fatto delle contaminazioni il punto di partenza per la nascita di collezioni molto cool. Qui di seguito vediamo uno dei visitatori di WHITE che veste capi con rimandi culturali molto decisi, mescolando tutto con icone ed accessori dal linguaggio più occidentale. Un diamante, un teschio ed una boccetta di profumo diventano spille che declamano linguaggi diversi ma con la voglia di una lingua del tutto simile.

Who’s that man . A diamond is forever, though not on one’s finger
The mix of styles is a constant element at international level, some designers have made contaminations their starting point for the creation of very cool collections. Below we see one of the WHITE visitors wearing pieces with definite cultural references, mixing the whole with icons and accessories with a rather Occidental language. A diamond, a skull and a small bottle of perfume become pins that declaim different languages longing for a similar tongue.

Uno dei prodotti che mi ha colpito di questo marchio è sicuramente la cipolla in ABS, Fullspot è un’azienda nata dalla creazione di un orologio O’Clock e che sta passando pian piano in rassegna tutta una serie di altri accessori. presentati a WHITE infatti oltre alle Limited series di orologi da polso e taschino, si è vista un’ampia variante di texture e colori, che vanno dai camouflage ai colori più accesi. Si finisce nelle borse e negli accessori sempre attraverso polimeri che hanno reso noto il marchio e con l’aggiunta di borse componibili, in cui è possibile scegliere il manico più vicino al proprio umore.

Fullspot . An onion that does not make you cry
One of the products that stroke me of this brand is the ABS onion, Fullspot company has originated from the creation of O’Clock watch, and it is now reviewing a whole series of other accessories. Beside the Limited series of wrist and pocket watches, a wide range of textures and colours was presented at WHITE, from camouflage to brighter tones. It all ends up with bags and accessories, always through polymers that have made the brand famous and with modular bags, for which you can choose the handle that most resembles your mood.

Continuiamo con spillette e stemmi, come se nell’ultimo periodo ci fosse in qualche modo la voglia latente di immedesimarsi in gradi o iconografie vintage militari. Un outfit molto interessante nell’essere ben bilanciato agli accessori, lo stivaletto è il pezzo che preferisco, perfetto nel chiudere uno stile raffinato in una giornata di White di qualche mese fa non proprio caldissima.

Who’s that girl . Black boots and pins
We go on with pins and coats of arms, as if over the last time people are willing to identify themselves with degrees or military vintage iconographies. A very interesting outfit in its balance of accessories, the ankle boot is my favourite piece, perfect to complete a refined style on a day at White, which was not that warm.

Nasce come architetto, ma la passione per gli accessori la porta ad immaginare un proprio linguaggio stilistico che applicherà principalmente alle borse e piccola pelletteria, Lucilla Paci ha presentato a WHITE una collezione in cui la qualità del Made in Italy è completa nel suo ciclo progettuale e di artigianato. Tutto il processo è seguito dalla stilista che crea accessori in serie limitata lontani dalle logiche del mass market e di omologazione. Il carattere è definito e sicuramente forte, la pelle diventa un attore perfetto nell’interpretazione di diverse forme, in cui le geometrie si innestano alle morbidezze della materia prima con semplicità e autorevolezza.

Lucilla Paci . Geometry changes its look
She started as an architect, but her passion for accessories led her to conceive her own stylistic language that she mainly applies to bags and small leather goods. Lucilla Paci presented at WHITE a collection featuring the complete quality of Made in Italy in the conceptual and artisanal cycle. The whole process is followed by the designer, who creates limited-edition accessories far from the mass market and homologation concepts. With a well-defined and strong character, leather becomes the perfect interpreter of different shapes, where geometries blend with the softness of the raw materials, in a simple and influential manner.

L’uomo è sempre più mira del mondo fashion, le ultime collezioni di Febbraio sono state un chiaro segnale dell’attenzione totalmente cambiata per le linee classiche che ha privilegiato finalmente una ricerca al pari delle collezioni femminili nei capi presentati. Chiaramente noi non disdegnamo lo stile classico che rimane sempre un punto di eleganza e grande personalità per chi lo indossi, ma coscenti del fatto che nei prossimi anni qualcosa cambierà nei volumi dei capi indossati.

WHITE Hunting . The fair sex gives room to masculine elegance
The fashion system more and more focuses on man, the latest collections presented in February were a clear signal of the change in attention which has finally privileged a fair research of women collections in the pieces presented. Clearly, we do not disdain classic style, which remains a point of elegance and great personality for those wearing it, but aware of the fact that in the upcoming years there will be a change in the volumes of the pieces worn.

Ely B è il marchio creato dalla designer fiorentina Eleonora Bruno, una collezione presentata a WHITE che sintetizza l’estro e l’esclusività dei cappelli realizzati. Tutto assolutamente fatto a mano ed in pezzi unici, Eleonora crea un linguaggio molto personale in cui l’eclettismo è parte dominante del suo lavoro. Non mancherà quindi di vedere un’esplosione di piume affiancate a metallo, o feltro associato a motivi religiosi. Lo stupore è essenziale nell’approcio della sua collezione che non manca di affrontare diverse iconografie classiche e mescolarle tra loro in modo del tutto inusuale.

Ely B . A style that crowns a character
Ely B is a brand created by Florentine designer Eleonora Bruno, a collection presented at WHITE that summarizes the creativity and exclusivity of the hats created. All is rigorously handmade and produced in unique pieces, Eleonora has a very personal language where eclecticism is the predominant part of her work. We will then see an outburst of plumes combined to metal, or felt combined to religious patterns. Astonishment is essential in the approach of her collection, which faces different classic iconographies and mixes them in a very unusual way.

In una giornata dedicata all’ascolto dei Joy Division non potevo che scrivere un post dedicato a quelle che sono state le icone tipiche della cultura punk, ska, new wave, grunge, rock etc. Alcune di queste chiaramente appartengono ad altre sottoculture pre e post punk, le Brothel creeper sono icone di un decennio prima, ma ciò che accomuna alcuni dei visitatori di WHITE con eccezioni evidenti, è aver indossato alcune scarpe che hanno come unico comun denominatore l’origine militare.

WHITE Details . Brothel and soldier boots are synchronized
On a day consecrated to listening the Joy Division I could but not write a post a dedicated to the typical icons of punk culture, ska, new wave, grunge, rock etc. Some of these clearly belong to other pre and post punk sub-cultures, the Brothel creeper models are icons dating back to a precedent decade, but some of the WHITE visitors share, with evident exceptions, the fact of having worn shoes with a military origin.
